If you’re a fan of global inspired decor and fabulous fusion ideas, then the daily musings of Joanna Dyckhoff’s Lotus Haus is your one stop shop for creative ways to enliven your inner space.  Today, we’re excited to welcome Joanna to the Nouveau family, as one of our all star contributors.  Who knew Christmas would come early this year?  I’ll let Jojo take it from here….

Someday soon you will embark on a journey to Indonesia! In the meantime, enhance your abode with influences from Bali, Jakarta, Sumatra or one of the other thousands of islands that make up the republic of Indonesia. If you’ve ever come across images of resorts and spas in Bali, you will notice many of them offer serenity by means of modern wood decor, neutral backdrops and interaction with the lush tropical landscape. Add some orchids, hand carved wood and stone elements, along with the traditional textiles of Batik and Ikat weave and you can easily create a well traveled vibe!
