New Jersey Garden Wedding

In November of 2009, which seems like only yesterday, I was in a very different headspace.  WN had been going for only three months, and I was excited to get an actual response from photographers who didn’t think I was some random stalker.  Okay, maybe I still am a stalker, but it’s so wonderful to see how much we’ve grown over the last 24 months, and to see our couples evolve as well.

One of the very early photographers to grace WN was Bola of Onada Photography, who shot a Nigerian-German wedding that graced our pages.  Before that, I had fallen head over heels with Nadege and Joe’s Princeton engagement session which had all the right plot points for a Vogue-meets-Woody-Allen narrative.  Their wedding went on to be featured in Brides NJ.  And judging from these images, I’m not surprised.  It was simply fabulous and went down on May 16, 2010.

The reception took place in one of New Jersey’s most cherished sanctuaries for garden lovers, nature buffs and history enthusiasts.  I’m referring to the Sayen House and Garden, a 30-acre plot built in 1912.

Glass dome ceilings, red roses, baby’s breathe arrangements and vintage wedding photos…just some of the details from Nadege and Joe’s New Jersey reception at The Merion.

Get inspired with more wedding design details from Nadege & Joe’s wedding gallery.  Congratulations to N + J.

Nadege? Sounds like a Haitian girl in our midst, maybe? I love this website!
