After reading the story of how they met…I knew the wedding story of Pro Baseball Player – Adam Lind of the Toronto Blue Jays, and his stunning Bride – Lakeyshia Bertie would be perfect on WN. Be sure to check out part 1 of the feature over at my guest blog on mywedding.com. Enjoy!
Setting: Ontario, Canada
Heroine/ Hero: West-Indian Canadian Bride – Lakeyshia and her American Beau – Adam
Signature Colors: Navy & Silver
Photo: Tied Photography
SCENE #3: GLAMOUR-DECO
Once you’ve seen all the inspiring details from the ceremony, you’ll understand why the festive deco-feel of the reception worked perfectly.
Lakeyshia’s bridal party was just as chic, wearing navy blue organza bodices and modern boleros to accent the bride’s glamorous look. But enough about fashion…what about culture?
WN: How do you feel your style and heritage (and that of Adam) were reflected in your wedding? We made an effort to blend our backgrounds in fun ways. We had a tropical fruit stand featuring coconuts and coconut water to sip on, mango slices and pineapple chunks. Also, our music was a blend of American Rock and Roll, Caribbean Calypso and Funky R&B.

I don’t really think there is anything I would have done differently. Both Adam and I planned our wedding with a great deal of thought and were really happy with the outcome.
Congratulations to L & A on your wedding. Be sure to check out part 1 of the feature before seeing more images in the gallery.

Absolutely beautiful.
Aww… love them!
They’re my wedding date twins. Nov. 13, 2010 was a great day!
The link appears to be broken for the “how they met” story. Also, very beautiful wedding :)
