With the countdown do Mardi Gras well underway, my mind has been flirting with the Big Easy lately. New Orleans, the city in which I spent my adolescent years, is a cosmopolitan city of jazz, zaideco, cajun culture, french influence and so much more.
Inspiration: French Quarter, New Orleans.
Founded initially as a military grid of distinct buildings in the 1700s, the French Quarter is one of New Orleans’ prized neighborhoods. It’s the setting of famous beignet restaurants, street musicians, bourbon-infused bars, and it’s romantic appeal is the driving force behind today’s dream palette.

OMG! I love this inspiration board. I fell in love with NOLA when I visited the city for the first time last November. The beignets make me want to go back to Cafe du Monde.
Love this! I’m mesmorized by that first photo.
I tried really, really hard to talk the boy into us getting married in NOLA. I love that city. We are about 8 hrs away by car. I even started contacting venues but decided that it either meant I had to let go of my minute detail nitpick nature (ie control freak) and let a local planner handle it or we’d be making a lot of trips. : ) I think he knew my head would explode trying to plan it from Austin. haha
haha, that’s funny TabbyChris
