Dinnerware Inspiration

I’m pretty sure you’ve seen tons of images that follow the whole dress-to-cake trend, in which elements of the wedding dress go into designing the cake.  For many multicultural brides, there’s usually a wardrobe change included somewhere into the evening.  You may not want your cake to look like a kilt, but you might be inspired to adorn your reception table decor to fit the mood of your dress.  Can couture patterns inspired place settings?  I say “but ov curse” (in a slick french accent).

Here are a few ideas I love, starting with a mood that’s flirty and sophisticated to unapologetic decadence:

For those ladies out there who aren’t afraid to unleash a little color, there’s no reason why your table settings can exude the same burst of energy.

Sometimes turning down the volume on color palettes can serve as a wonderful compliment to dominant design statements like earth or epic-friendly motifs.

Like every runway collection that culminates with a final show stopping piece, today’s feature comes to a glittery conclusion with all that glitters, inspired by Givenchy’s sparkle fest for the fall of 2010.
