Bold prints are making a comeback. You can’t miss it. From top designers who’ve carved a signature look using prints and patterns (like Diane Furstenberg) or mainstream boutiques incorporating African-inspired prints into their displays (like Anthropologie), there’s tons to choose from. Sequin too is also rearing her pretty little head onto the fashion scene again, but that’s a whole other feature. Where was I?…oh, tribal goddesses making a comeback.
So, when I stumbled on to the collection from Sass and Bide, a boutique fashion house based out of Australia, I just had to share. By paring modern silhouettes with bold patterns, it’s like each piece evokes the spirit of a powerful tribal goddess strutting the streets of a modern day metropolis.
It’s Your World…Unleash your Tribal Goddess!
Walking to the beat of their Spring ’10 collection is like wearing a cosmopolitan cloak weaved in style, culture and a little attitude.

These prints remind me of the bold and evocative designs from Maori tradition. I can’t wait to see what next they’ve got up their sleeve.

I love the bold use of design and neutral colors.
