Have I ever shared with you, my love for literature? Plays, in particular. My background is in theatre, so it goes without saying that reading and collection plays and playbills for me is like finding a collection of antebellum artifacts for a pawn star. Erotic! Some of favorite playwrights? Williams, Nottage, Ibsen, Chekhov…Lorca.
Federico Garcia Lorca, I’ve mentioned before, weaves the angst, despair and love of his Spanish leading ladies like music to my ears. This past weekend, I found myself glancing through scenes in a glorious escape from reality. So today’s inspiration goes hand in hand with my Spanish fantasy.
Lace, mantillas, boleros, flamenco gowns, ruffles, Bull fighters…these are all wonderful pieces of inspiration for the ultimate Spanish-inspired wedding.
If high fashion amidst the columns of historic Spanish courtyards, isn’t enough for you…then how about a flamenco inspired dream palette, featured earlier.
