Dream palette requests like these are beyond fun for me. Why? Because they are absolutely unapologetic about the feminine, romance and fantasy factor – three things that I go gaga for. Thank you to Romona of Pennsylvania, USA for the request. In celebration of her upcoming “shabby chic” wedding, she requested a dream palette “a little shabby, a little romantic, and a little french.”

Romona is a self proclaimed avid reader of classic literature, listener to timeless serenades from Edith Piaf and the ultimate dreamer. She’s picked the perfect location too – a country side cottage in Pennsylvania and would like to add a little shabby french romance to her intimate wedding in the spring of 2011. She’s requested a “soft colored palette” to go with the song that she and her Canadian fiance have chosen for their first dance: Louis Armstrong’s rendition of La Vie en Rose.
Dream Palette #97: LA VIE EN ROSE
Imagine a jazz quartet playing on the stoops of your cottage event, with candle mason jars and hanging lanterns in shades of gray, pink and nude adorning your sky. Can you picture it? Do check out some other of our inspired french dream palettes with a bit of chateau charm or vintage mystique.

I replied to your email not sure if you got it.
Hi,
I absolutely LOVE your blog! All of your ideas are simply beautiful! I am currently in the process of helping my sister develop new ideas for her upcoming wedding and I ran across your blog. Rather than share with her your ideas I saved them for myself haha! Horrible I know but you can never start planning too early I always say :) I was curious if you happen to know where the white ruffled bedding came from in your first picture? I just love it! Thanks so much and please keep up the great work!!
Best Wishes,
Nicole
Hi Nicole,
Thanks for your sweet comment. Your secret is safe with us;-)
The ruffled bedding photo was from one of my FAVORITE shabby chic designers. Her name is Sandra Foster…and she renovated a cabin in the woods which got featured in the NY Times. Here’s the link to her blog (which is now open to public, as it used to be private): http://myshabbystreamsidestudio.blogspot.com/2010/06/in-delhi-ny-sandra-foster-and-twee.html I hope this helps.
Happy New year.
