During one of my recent browsing shenanigans, I came across a wonderful blog dedicated solely to Asian weddings, conveniently called Asian Inspired weddings. The blog was launched this summer, and you couldn’t tell by the wealth of style and how well though out each feature is. Do head on over there to see what I’m talking about. It’s from AIW, that I was turned on to today’s Friday Inspiration: A two part Vietnamese wedding set amidst the majestic alps of Canada.
Setting: Banff, Canada
Heroine & Hero: Vietnamese/ Canadian bride – Ngan and her Canadian Beau – John.
Photography: Unique Images Photography
In keeping with traditional Vietnamese wedding customs, the couple chose red (the color of luck) as their signature color for the tea ceremony. Ngan’s red Ao Dai adds a sophisticated touch to this intimate event.
Day one of John & Ngan’s traditional ceremony concluded with a surprise dragon dance that symbolizes prosperity and power. With picturesque landscapes and the love of close family and friends, John and Ngan’s tale continued to day two with the western portion of their wedding. Don’t miss some of our previous features of stylish Vietnamese weddings.
