Hello everyone, and happy Thursday….or in tandem with today’s subject: Happy Cakeday!
You’ve heard the famous phrase: “Let Them Eat Cake.” Those words are attributed to one of history’s first celebutantes. Marie Antoinette is historically known for her fabulous fashion and opulent lifestyle, and her famous quote (among others) rings true today as it did thousands of receptions ago. In the world of weddings and event design, they’ve got to see the cake before they eat it, n’est ce pas?
The wedding cake is very often the focal point at the reception, second only to the newly hitched bride, of course. Whether she’s maintained her all-white attire or transformed into a colorful butterfly in traditional finery, the bride’s look and demeanor usually set the tone for the rest of the evening…along side her cake.
So you’ve got the perfect cake envisioned, but you’re not sure how to tie it in to everything else? Here are some ideas:

Today’s feature serves as a follow up to my new found obsession with the delicious creations over at Roxycakes. We featured her mini-fudge chocolate tiers earlier, so it should act as no surprise, that most of today’s cakes are from her vault of frosted delight.
