Feast your eyes on this fusion soiree in New York city. Like the award winning images of Woody Allen’s cinematographer, Kurty Wong of Kurty Photography captured the NY spirit of Emily and Joshua’s modern fusion wedding with precision, candid wit and absolute romance. Take a look:
Setting: New York City
Heroine & Hero: Chinese American Bride – Emily and her beau – Joshua, of Jewish American descent.
Scene #1: FABULOUS IN THE CITY.

Scene #2: THE GROOM
Scene #3: ANTICIPATION
Scene #4: THE CEREMONY
The couple chose to sign the Ketubah (“Jewish Wedding Contract”) before their ring ceremony later in the evening. I love the photo of the bride as she’s being escorted down the aisle by her father and her mother who in the last few years became a Buddhist monk.

Scene #6: THE RECEPTION
Studio 450 is a ultra chic and contemporary loft space in the heart of New York city that offers the perfect palette for your lighting scape. Why? Because it’s minimalist white slate offers the perfect backdrop for any vision…a true canvas.

Amidst all the dancing and music, the couple was able to incorporate a quite and solemn Buddhist prayer to bless their marriage.

Finally, in true Jewish wedding tradition, the bride and groom were raisded in celebratory style by their dancing guests. For ideas on Jewish wedding customs, visit here. For more suggestsions on Buddhist wedding practices, visit here.
Thank you Kurty Wong for sharing these beautiful photos.
