One of my absolute fave blogs got my mind racing earlier this week. Abby over at Style Me Pretty (SMP), never fails to inspire me with her endless amounts of stylish tips and design finds. I spent hours browsing her site when planning my wedding in 2008 and she’s only gotten better. SMP recently did an “Inspiration to Reality” post that I must admit, sealed the deal for today’s dream palette. I found this stunning image that reminded me of Mongolian Emperor – Genghis Khan, but couldn’t quite find the right bridal shot to glue it together…until SMP’s post.
In Wedding Nouveau style, we always try to find an alternative way to recreate classic choices. Dreaming outside the box for today is all about faux fur, rustic frost and a romantic Mongolian overlay.

Why thank you very much! It is a thrill to see my ruffled lampshade in such sophisticated company!!!
I have two daughters, 20 and 25. Not now, but we will be needing your site for sure! We all love to read wedding magazines and blogs. Glad I found yours!
(a little fyi- I have a sweet handmade shabby chic pillow @ BlueCreekBoutique that would be a great ring bearer pillow!)
Thanks again! Rhonda
Lovely! I just love these rustic sorts of winter weddings.
This is such a beautiful inspiration board! The cool contrasted by warm tones is delightful…this look makes me want to have a winter wedding one day.
Hope you are having a wonderful day*
Thanks for the comments, ladies. They are much appreciated. Rhonda, I will definitely check out those shabby chic pillows.
