There’s something about the concept of “ethnic” that always seems to conjure up images that are heavy, dark and rather serious. The need to branch away from this, motivated my whimsical Africa board a while back. Granted “ethnic” colors may be vibrant in some cultures, but I’ve noticed in many circles, the immediate association of traditional style to safe hues such as brown, black, and green, and weighted energy, making ethnic decor… dare i say it?…Reverent! What’s with that? Let’s have some fun. After all, most modern girls today still want to be flirty and feminine/
In rebellion, I’ve decided to follow up on the Dream in Color/ Dream in Culture series with a shade that’s the absolute opposite of reverent: Pink.

Oh you beat me to it. I was going to quote Ashley on what she did. See below: “The cards were done by me. They are just basic plain white cards and envelopes from the craft store. I took petals off of silk flowers and hot glued them to the cards. Pretty simple!” – Ashley Ann – Anyway, I’m glad we’re on the same page.
I think Dream Palette #41: YOU MAKE ME HOT PINK helped me seal the deal on my color palette. Fresh and vibrant. I hope you don’t mind but I’ve blogged about your blog because there is so much good stuff here. You have an amazing eye. Thanks so much and keep it up!
