{Wedding Inspiration Board #30} French Chateau Charm

Let me just say that it’s possible to design several inspiration boards, all based on the photographs of Elizabeth Messina, alone!

For Fri-Style Friday, I got inspired by her recent shot of a remote French chateau that will serve as the 2010 home and muse to her and a lucky few, as part of The Lovely Workshop.

If you know the play “La Cage Aux Folles,” a french farce by Jean Poiret, you know that it’s all about humor, satire, and an engaging plot from start to finish.  Most in the US,  know this play from the re-adaptation – The Birdcage, starring Nathan Lane and Robin Williams.  Maybe it’s the isolated natural ambiance, the architecture or the period that it evokes, the look of the Chateau photo below reminds me of lofty birdcages and menageries.

Inspiration for today brings the romance of an isolated chateau and the whimsy of a birdcage.  It’s a softer hue from the earlier dream palettes this week…so you can take a color breather, for now:-)
