Wedding Tradition Idea – “Wish Lanterns“
In the Kabuki dream palette featured earlier today, there was a photo I found of the hanging wooden wish tags, that had me curious about alternative ways to incorporate this same idea for your guests. There’s always the approach of supplying pre-cut slabs of wood, appropriate writing utensils and ribbon at a Do-It-Yourself station. Another more dramatic and picturesque option could be to take the well wishes of your guests to the sky…literally.
Originally practiced in Asian countries such as China, Thailand and Japan, each personalized lantern represents commitment, peace and hope for the future. These would work great for a venue next to a body of water, or one that is relatively isolated from the city so as not to compete with the lantern glow.

There are many companies that offer comprehensive packages for flying lantern displays for your guests. Not a bad way to send off the bride and groom.
