In speaking with Linda, who’s wedding you’ll see in full detail later…she mentioned the plan of incorporating the Ao Dai into her fusion wedding. That little drop of an idea piqued my interest.
Ao Dai refers to traditional Vietnamese attire made of a silk or cotton tunic top, worn over a pair of trousers (usually with similar fabric). It comes in so many colors and styles, that I was lost for words on where to begin.

You know me, I’m always interested in a challenge. There are many options available online for Ao Dai’s that are targeted towards women, however they seemed to focus primarily on tradition. What does it mean to reinvent a traditional Vietnamese gown?
What would it be like to fuse the Ao Dai with a more modern and personalized wedding decor for 2009?
